Liverpool beat Dortmund in injury time to reach Europa League semi-final

Liverpool advance to the Europa League semi-finals after a remarkable 4-3 quarter-final victory over Borussia Dortmund, according to a report by Football365.

The Reds headed into the second leg of the quarter-final with an away-goal advantage after a 1-1 draw in Germany last Thursday, but Dortmund surged into a two-goal lead at Anfield within ten minutes.

Goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stunned a vocal Kop into silence early on, with Divock Origi handing Liverpool a glimmer of hope by making it 2-1 just after half-time.

Marco Reus restored Dortmund’s two-goal deficit after 57 minutes, seemingly putting the tie beyond doubt.

Liverpool did not relent however, and Philippe Coutinho pulled a goal back nine minutes later to make it 3-2, while Mamadou Sakho equalised on the night with 20 minutes to go.

Jurgen Klopp’s side battled to find a decisive fourth, and Dejan Lovren was the unlikely provider in stoppage time to send Anfield into delirium.
