The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has ranked Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the list of 20 World’s Best Playmakers in 2017.
Five times Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has won for the third year in a row the IFFHS Award of The World’s Best Playmaker.
German midfielder Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) who won the title in 2014, finished second in the ranking with a tie for third between Luka Modric (Real Madrid) and Neymar (Barcelona/Paris SG).
Manchester United’s Henirkh Mkhitaryan shares the 16th position with French Blaise Matuidi, who moved from PSG to Juventus this summer.
The winners have been chosen by experts in 91 countries from all continents.
