The organizing committee of the 6th Pan-Armenian Summer Games held a sitting today chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
President of the Pan-Armenian games Ishkhan Zakaryan noted that the Games will run from August 2 to 13. The opening ceremony will be held at Yerevan’s Hrazdan Stadium.
The Games will be concluded with a gala concert at the Republic Square.
The 6th Pan-Armenian Games will feature 17 disciplines – 7 more than last year. The competitions will take place in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Stepanakert, Artashat, Etchmiadzin and Abovyan.
So far 2, 691 sportsmen have applied for participation. The number of athletes from foreign countries is expected to exceed 5 thousand.
The Prime Minister instructed the relevant agencies to organize and conduct the games on a high level.
