The Armenian National Survey for Seismic Protection registered a 5.3 magnitude earthquake 28 km southeast of the city of Shamakhi, Azerbaijan. The quake measured 7 at the epicenter.
The earthquake was felt in Armenia’s Syunik marz and a number of settlements in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
