Youri Djorkaeff, a legendary football player and the General Director of the FIFA Foundatio, has expressed his willingness to help develop sports in Armenian schools.
Djorkaeff was present at Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s meeting with local Armenians on the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum.
” Youri Djorkaeff, who was present at the meeting with the Armenian community, said he is ready to support the development of sports in Armenian schools,” Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan captioned a photo with the former France international on Facebook.
With the French national team, Djorkaeff won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000.
Djorkaeff was awarded Armenia’s Medal of Gratitude in 2017.
