On a working visit to the United States, Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan delivered remarks at the Atlantic Council.
The Speaker briefed the attendees on the changes in Armenia after the Velvet Revolution and the perspectives of development.
Following the speech Ararat Mirzoyan had a discussion with representatives of US government and expert circles on Armenia’s foreign policy, the expected judiciary reforms, development of the Armenian-American agenda and other issues.
The Speaker also discussed the possible support to civil society and media with the managing board of the National Endowment for Democracy.
At the Armenian Embassy in the US Ararat Mirzoyan received Scott Mastic, Vice-President of the International Republican Institute.
The delegation headed by the Parliament Speaker met with Armenian community representatives to exchange views on recent developments in Armenia and the parliamentary activities.
