Protest leader calls to ensure free movement of ambulances and military vehicles

Armenian protest leader Nikol Pashinyan has urged supporters to ensure the free movement of ambulances, as well as vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense.

The major roads and entries to government buildings remain closed after Pashinyan called for a “total strike” at a rally in the Republic Square Tuesday.

The Ministry of Defense issued a statement earlier, urging to ensure an uninterrupted movement of all military vehicles and convoys.

The new wave of protests follows a vote at the National Assembly, which voted down Nikol Pashinyan’s bid to become Prime Minister.
