The British Embassy in Yerevan has shared a video of Armenia captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan sending a message on Queen’s birthday.
“Congratulations on the 91st birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I wish her strong health to the benefit and well-being of the British people. With best regards, Henrikh Mkhitaryan,” the Manchester United midfielder says.
The video was first screened at a celebration hosted by the British Embassy in Yerevan earlier this month. Mkhitaryan was not present at the event due to his absence from Armenia.
The Queen celebrates two birthdays every year: her actual birthday on 21st April and her official birthday on a Saturday in June. The official birthday is held in the summer as it means there’s a better chance of good weather for the ceremony.
