Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Refugees and IDPs has said the Azerbaijanis that were captivated in Nagorno Karabakh’s Karvachar region are “true patriots and heroes.”
“They cannot be condemned. We are preparing our youth for the liberation of our lands. These people serve an example to our youth,” Hasanov said at the event dedicated to the “occupation” of Aghdam, as Azerbaijanis call it, APA reports.
He also informed that the government will issue a special statement on the killing of one of the Azerbaijani saboteurs.
Russia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin, in turn, refuted the earlier information that one of the captives – Dilham Askerov – was a citizen of the Russian Federation.
