CFE Treaty and Vienna Document 2011 do not restrain the arms race, Armenian DM says

On April 16 Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received the delegation headed by Angelo Gnedinger, OSCE Chairman-in-Office’s Special Representative for the South Caucasus.

The Armenian Defense Minister voiced concern over the fact that the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) and the Vienna Document 2011 are not restraining factors, which results in arms race.

During the meeting the parties discussed the implementation of programs in the fields of human rights, ensuring transparency, strengthening of army-society ties and others.
