The Armenian Government decided today to accept the resignation filed by the Governor of Syunik Province, Suren Khachatryan.
Earlier Khachatryan said he was temporarily stopping to perform his duties as governor until the preliminary investigation of the incident in front of his house.
The bloody incident in front of Khachatryan’s house claimed the life of ex-candidate for Mayor of Goris Avetik Budaghyan, leaving two others wounded (Budaghyan’s brother Artak and Khachatryan’s bodyguard Nikolay Abrahamyan).
