According to preliminary results, three forces will be represented in the Yerevan City Council – Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party and Hello Yerevan bloc of parties.
In line with the Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia, the parties and blocs should cross the threshold of 6 and 8 percent respectively.
According to the preliminary results announced by the Central Electoral Commission, the Republican Party has received 55.89% of the votes, Prosperous Armenia and Hello Yerevan received 23.0% and 8.48% respectively.
Thus, Taron Margaryan, who heads the list of the Republican Party, will retain his office.
