After assuming office at a special session of the National Assembly of Armenia, President Serzh Sargsyan visited Yerablur Pantheon, in accordance with the tradition established in 2008.
The President paid tribute to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the Motherland.
President Sargsyan laid flowers on the tombs of Vazgen Sarkissian and Andranik Ozanian.
Afterwards, accompanied by the guard of honor, he laid a wreath at the monument raised in memory of the victims of the Artsakh’s Liberation Movement.
Later the day President of the Republic of Armenia, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serzh Sargsyan at the Presidential Palace watched a military parade dedicated to his inauguration.
