Armenian GM Levon Aronian defeated Teimour Radjabov of Azerbaaijan in Round 6 of the Candidates Tournament underway in London.
Magnus Carlsen (Norway) defeated Peter Svidler (Russia). Aronian and Svidler share the lead with 4.5 points after six rounds. The two other games ended in draws.
The London Candidates Tournament will determine the challenger who will face, later this year, the current title holder World Champion Viswanathan Anand, who has reigned as World Champion since 2007.
