Member of the “Heritage” Party Anahit Bakhshyan says Raffi Hovhannisyan’s decision to start a hunger strike needs no comment. According to her, it’s not a desperate step. Republican Sukias Avetisyan considers it was a radical step, also as an attempt to exert influence on the decision of the Constitutional Court.

He believes that Raffi Hovhannisyan had to wait for the ruling of the Court and go on a hunger strike if dissatisfied with the verdict. He describes the step as radical and desperate.

Anahit Bakhshyan does not believe Raffi Hovhannisyan’s hunger strike will unite the opposition forces.

Representative of the Republican Party Lernik Alexanyan said any authorities need a sound opposition.  According to him, Raffi Hovhannisyan received more votes that anyone could expect and managed to lead the opposition electorate. He said he would not like the leader of the “Heritage” Party to disappoint the public.
