On January 7 the National Security Service detained two suspects in Paruyr Hayrikyan case. Khachatur Poghisyan, born in 1966, and Samvel Harutyunyan, born in 1972, resided in Yerevan illegally.
Khachatur Poghisyan has served a sentence for illegal drug trafficking and is currently unemployed. The suspects have confessed of the murder attempt. The motives of the crime are being investigated.
