The farewell ceremony for the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov took place at the Presidential Palace today.
At the private meeting, which took place before the ceremony, the leaders of the two states highly assessed the results of the negotiations held in the framework of the visit which, according to the parties, will give a new impetus to the development of friendly relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan and deepening of cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to President Serzh Sargsyan for the invitation and warm welcome extended to him and his delegation, and noted that members of another Turkmen delegation – representatives of culture and arts, where given the same warm welcome.
President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that in the wake of the visit there undoubtedly will be good results in the trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian areas and that cooperation in the framework of international organizations will continue as well.
