Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on National Day.
“The Armenian-Syrian relations are characterized by historically strong friendship, mutual sympathy, spirit of cooperation and mutual support,” PM Pashinyan said in a message to Assad.
“During the Syrian crisis, Armenia has shown its strong support for Syria, as evidenced by the activities of the Armenian humanitarian mission in Aleppo. I am convinced that the traditional dialogue between our states will continue to “expand and deepen” for the benefit of our two friendly nations,” the Prime Minister said.
PM Pashinyan voiced hope that Syria would overcome the current crisis, enter a new phase of progress and development. He reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to contribute to the recovery.
