Armenia has welcomed the Dutch Parliament’s stance on opening an Embassy in Yerevan.
“We salute the Dutch Parliament stance on opening of a resident Embassy in Yerevan. The move is a manifestation of support to the democratic developments in Armenia,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a Twitter post.
“The Embassy will strengthen the long-standing partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands,” the Ministry added.
The four coalition parties of the Dutch Parliament have offered the leadership of the country to provide 2 million euros to the Foreign Ministry for opening an Embassy in the Republic of Armenia.
