Russia’s Match TV to air film about Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Russia’s Match TV will air a film about Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan at 7 p.m. Yerevan time (4 p.m. CET) on December 5.

Mikhail Mossakovsky and Nobel Arustamyan visited Henrikh at Manchester to see how the United star lives and plays in England. The Russian journalists spent two days with the midfielder and attended Manchester United’s match against Tottenham Hotspur.

“Henrikh is a type of player we have to tell about,” Mikhail Mossakovsky said. “Mkhitaryan’s story is a brilliant example of how one should not stop at what has been achieved. Going to a new level, you always need to set the next goal,” he added.

Nobel Arustamyan said the film is very “sincere” and expressed gratitude to Henrikh’s sister Monica and the Manchester United for support.

Match TV’s General Producer Tina Kandelaki noted that “they aim to tell human stories about sport and sportsmen.”

“It’s interesting to us to know what motivates sportsmen at moments of victory and defeat, who inspires them and how they manage to never give up,” Kandelaki said.

“Mikhail and Nobel prepared an exclusive and emotional material about one of the most famous Armenian footballers of the 21st century. Henrikh is already a legend and we want to tell his story,” she added.
