Taron Margaryan was sworn in as Mayor of Yerevan in a solemn ceremony at the City Hall.
Atending the inauguration ceremony were President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, National Assembly Speaker Ara Babloyan, MPs, members of the City Council, etc.
“Yerkir Tsirani” faction did not participate in the ceremony. Head of the faction Zaruhi Postanjyan said they would hold a separate sitting.
President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated Mayor Taron Margaryan and the newly elected members of the City Council.
“I believe the common interests of the Yerevan community will be put above all disagreements. I hope you will work in this spirit in this local self-government body,” the President said.
