The first plane of the Kazakh SCAT Airlines touched down at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport today.
Representatives of the company hope the flights will be of great demand both in Armenia and Kazakhstan and will thus boost the development of bilateral economic, diplomatic ties and tourism.
The SCAT Airlines will be flying to Yerevan twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Before the plane would take off from Astana Airport, Armenia’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ara Sahakyan participated in a briefing, featuring representatives of the company, the airport and the government of Kazakhstan.
The Ambassador invited all to visit Armenia and explore the country’s tourism opportunities.
