A minute of silence at Ukraine’s Parliament in memory of Armenian Genocide victims

The Ukrainian Supreme Rada observed a minute of silence in memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.

MP Nikolay Knyazhitsky said “today is a tragic day in the history of the Armenian people and the whole humanity.”

“On this day 100 years ago the annihilation of a whole nation started with the deportation of the elite. Armenians and Ukrainians have lived side by side in the course of centuries. An Armenian was the first to die during the Revolution of Dignity,” he said.
