On April 14, the world famous System of a Down rock band gave aconcert in Lyon, France in the frameworks of the Wake up the souls Tour 2015 to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
The concert started with the screening of the video about the Armenian Genocide – a unique call for recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, in front of an audience of 17,000 at Halle Tony Garnier. Serj Tankian expressed words of gratitude to France and friendly French people for just the position of France on the Armenian Genocide.
After the concert Ambassador of Armenia to France Vigen Chitechian, Consul General of Armenia in Lyon Nikolay Sarkisov, First Deputy Mayor of Lyon Georges Kepenekian and other officials met the members of the System of a Down.
