Armenian nationals allowed to stay in Russia for 30 days without registration

The Russian Federation Council on Wednesday ratified the agreement, allowing citizens of the Republic of Armenia to stay in Russia for 30 days without registration, Interfax reports.

The agreement on the conditions of stay in the territories of the two countries was signed between the governments of Armenia and Russia on July 11, 2014.

Under the agreement, citizens of the Russian Federation, who temporarily stay on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, as well as citizens of the Republic of Armenia on temporary state in Russia will be exempt from the obligation to register in competent bodies of the country in the course of 30 days.

A similar approach is currently in place for the citizens of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
