Tensions were high at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at night

Tensions were high at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border last night, the rival opened fire in the direction of the frontline villages in Tavush Province, Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Pastinfo.

He noted that about 200 shots were fired in the direction of the Armenian positions, and the shelling stopped only after the Armenian side resorted to response actions. No casualties are reported.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan noted also that the rival undertook an infringement attempt, but was forced back to its initial positions.
