On 25 April Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan met in Yerevan at the Permanent Representation of the NKR to Armenia with a delegation of US congressmen headed by chairman of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce.
A number of issues related to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and regional processes were discussed during the meeting. Both sides highlighted the peaceful resolution of the conflict within the frameworks of the OSCE Minsk Group.
President Sahakyan noted that “official Stepanakert attaches importance to the development of relations with the US, considering it as a friendly country, home to millions of Armenians.”
NKR foreign minister Karen Mirzoyan, representatives of the Armenian National Committee of America headed by Chairman Ken Khachikyan and other officials partook in the meeting.
