US President Barack Obama will make a strong and influential statement on April 24, US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern said at the opening of the temporary exhibition “The First World War: Allies, Images and Massacres” at the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute.
He said Secretary Kerry and President Obama are well aware of the events. “It will be a very strong and influential statement, recognizing the fact that 1.5 Armenians were massacred,” the Ambassador said, adding however, he cannot say which words the President will use in the statement.
