Syria’s Grand Mufti Ahmad Badr Eddin Hassoun said that Syrians will never allow anyone to desecrate their homeland, SANA reports.
Meeting displaced families from Kassab town in Lattakia countryside, who are staying at the Armenian Orthodox Church of Virgin Mary, Hassoun said Armenians have always been loyal to Syria and Armenia alike.
He evaluated victories achieved by Syrian Arab Army against terrorists, the last of which restoring stability to Maaloula in al-Qalamoun in Damascus Countryside. He added victory over terrorism is near and all locals will return to their houses thanks to the sacrifices of the army.
He also hailed efforts of the Syrian youths in providing services to displaced families.
