Armenia chooses song for Eurovision 2014

The song Armenia will present at Eurovision-2014 Song Contest has been selected from among 75 songs submitted by Armenian and foreign composers, the Public Television of Armenia informs.

The song has been selected through several stages, taking note of the current world music trends, Aram MP3’s voice and musical preferences. The song and the video will be presented to public by March 15.

This year the contest is held under the slogan “Join us.” Host Broadcaster of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, DR, is inviting viewers from all over the world to be a part of the show. For the first time, viewers are being given the chance to dance or sing on screen as part of the world’s largest music competition.

Viewers can join a huge virtual choir, singing last year’s winning tune, Only Teardrops – or film and upload their coolest dance moves and have the chance to dance live on stage in Copenhagen as part of the show.

Everyone can visit the website and sing a part of the winning song from the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, Emmelie de Forest’s Only Teardrops.

Armenia’s entrant for Eurovision 2014 Aram MP3 earlier performed a cover version of Only Teardrops in “authentic Armenian style”.
