Armenian, Russian FMs discuss Putin’s forthcoming visit to Yerevan

At a meeting in Moscow the Armenian and Rusan Foreign Ministers Edward Nalbandian and Sergey Lavrov discussed the details of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia. The visit is scheduled for early December, Lavrov said at a joint press conference with the visiting Armenian Foreign Minister.

Russia expects directs contacts between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Russia hopes for resumption of direct contacts between the Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities on Nahorno Karabakh issue and stands ready to provide assistance in solving the conflict, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

“We hope the direct contacts between the Armenian andAzerbaijani leaders will resume in the near future, and we’ll help create an atmosphere conductive to the settlement of the conflict on the basis of earlier agreements acceptable to all parties,” the Russian Foreign Minister said.

Moscow will contribute to Armenia’s soonest accession to the Customs Union

Moscow will actively contribute to the settlement of the issues that need to be solved for Armenia’s soonest accession to the Customs Union, Sergey Lavrov said.

“We want to continnue our cooperation within th framework of the OSCE and the UN, and natural on pot-Soviet space – the CIS an the CSTO,” Lavrv noted.
