Presidents of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Serzh Sargsyan and Bako Sahakyan attended military exercises of the Defense Army’s units in the central and southern parts of the republic.
The Presidents also partook in a solemn ceremony of putting into operation a number of new military and communal objects in one of the military units, as well as watched trainings of the servicemen.
President Sahakyan attached importance to having infrastructures corresponding to modern standards in the army, considering it among the necessary conditions for effective organization of the service.
The Presidents of the two Armenian states partook in a working consultation in the southern part of the Hadrout region dedicated to socioeconomic development of the region.
NKR Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Aghabekyan delivered a corresponding report on the issue.
President Sahakyan considered important proper implementation of the planned activities, noting that it would substantially contribute to the development of agriculture in Artsakh, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President reported.
