Tribute to Armenian fighters, who lost their lives for the sake of France in WWI

On November 11, to mark the signing of the armistice in 1918, the Armenian community of France bowed to the statue of General Andranik at Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris.

A second ceremony paid tribute to the Armenian fighters who sacrificed their lives for the French Republic.

Mrs. George Pau-Langevin, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Education, responsible for academic success, laid a wreath at the foot of the Armenian monument in the name of France.

According to documents, 700 Armenians lost their lives on the b attlefield duringthe First World War, free-lance journalist Jean Eckian reports from Paris.
