NATO Special Representative hails Armenia’s participation in Kosovo and Afghanistan missions

President Serzh Sargsyan received the Special Representative of NATO’s Secretary General for South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai, President’s Press Office reported.

The parties noted with satisfaction efficient cooperation with NATO in all areas of partnership.

The interlocutors noted with contentment that the political dialogue with the Alliance is of a continuous nature.

The Special Representative of the Secretary General of NATO highly praised Armenia’s participation in the NATO international peace-keeping operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan.

The President of Armenia and the Special Representative of the Secretary General of NATO James Appathurai concurred that this level of relations testifies to the existence of a deep and comprehensive agenda formed as a result of NATO’s close cooperation with Armenia which, in their opinion, considerably assists Armenia in improving and modernizing her defense and security system.
