Kazakhstan supports Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union, Minister of Economic Integration of Kazakhstan Zhanar Aitzhanova told reporters today, ITAR-TASS reports.
“I think the position of Kazakhstan will be expressed on the highest political level, but overall the Customs Union is an organization open to new members,” she said.
“If this is the political decision of the Armenian authorities, then we support it,” she added.
According to Aitzhanova, Armenia will have to pass through a range of procedures connected with the Customs Union, including legislative amendments.
