The bus and minibus fares in Armenia will rise from 100 to 150 AMD. The metro fee will remain unchanged, while the trolleybus fare will be doubled.

The changes will come into effect from Saturday, July 20.

The changes are not conditioned by the rise of gas tariffs only, Head of the Transport Department of the Yerevan City Hall Albert Gevorgyan told a press conference today.

A number of other circumstances should be taken into consideration here, namely the rise of fuel, spare parts and cars.

A number of transport companies had applied to the City Hall, asking to raise the fare to 170-200 AMD, Adviser to Yerevan Mayor Albert Gevorgyan said.
