The Mayor of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan, jazzman Levon Malkhasyan and member of the Yerevan City Council Hrant Tokhatyan met with famous Lithuanian composer Raymond Pauls within the framework of the visit to Riga.
The composer first congratulated the guests on signing the Treaty on Brotherhood between Yerevan and Riga. He voiced hope that the cultural ties between the two capitals would also deepen under the new agreement.
Taron Margaryan said, in turn, there are wide perspectives for mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Riga. The Mayor of Yerevan invited Taymond Pauls to participate in the celebration of the “Erebuni-Yerevan 2795.”
The composer promised to visit Armenia to celebrate the City Day together with the residents of Yerevan.
