Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has said Armenia cannot but worry about the supply of Russian weaponry to Azerbaijan.
He added at the same time that “the Armenian-Russian military-technical cooperation is on a high level and everything is being done to maintain the balance of forces.”
“A new document was signed allowing for direct military and technical contracts between military-industrial complexes of Armenia and Russia. So the situation is under control,” he noted.
“The Azerbaijani government is attempting to engage Armenia into arms race. We have no intention to blindly follow the Azeri lead, with Armenia putting more stress on quality rather than quantity,” the military official said.
