Charles, His Royal Highness the Prince Charles of Wales, is arriving in Armenia today at the invitation of the “Yerevan, My Love” charity foundation.
Prince Charles will visit historical-cultural sites in Armenia, the first country to adopt Christianity as state religion.
The Prince will visit Matenadaran, an ancient manuscript repository and research center, which holds 17,000 Armenian and foreign manuscripts and 30,000 other documents which cover a wide array of subjects such as historiography, geography, philosophy, grammar, art, history, medicine and science.
The Prince of Wales will have a meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
None of the members of the royal family has ever visited Armenia.
