The Arkia Israeli Airlines will operate regular Tel-Aviv-Yerevan and Yereavn-Tel-Aviv flights starting from June 5.
General Manager of Armenia International Airports CJSC Marcelo Wende said the initiative will benefit Armenia, as Israel is a country of 6 million, and millions of tourists spend their vacations in foreign countries every year.
Armenia is close to Israel and has a great potential to accept Israeli tourists. According to the General Manager, the new flights will be mutually beneficial. The tickets will cost $310.
Arkia has opened a representation in Armenia, the visa regime has been facilitated. It’s now possible to get an Israeli visa through Armenian tourism companies.
Arkia envisages one flight a week. On Mondays the plane will fly from Tel Aviv to Yerevan, and will return to Israel in 2.5 hours.
