
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a Santa Ana church and pilfering about $15,000 from a safe, CBS Los Angeles informs.
Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says Daniel Cortes was arrested following a short chase.
Cortes was identified from a tip police received allegedly as one of three suspects wanted in connection with the May 1 break-in at Forty Martyrs Armenian Church
Bertagna said some of the goods that were allegedly stolen have since been found.
Two suspects remain outstanding.
The first was described as a medium-build, white male with a bald head and mustache. He is believed to be between 40 to 45 years of age.
The second suspect, a Hispanic male with a goatee and a thin build, is believed to be between 35 to 40 years old.
