On April 9 Armenian acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the special envoy of the Syrian President, Adnan Mahmud.
Adnan Mahmud briefed the Armenian Foreign Minister on the latest developments in Syria and the efforts targeted at the establishment of peace.
Edward Nalbandian expressed his deep concern connected with the ongoing crisis in Syria and the deteriorating humanitarian situation, underlining that it results in the sufferings of the population, including Syrian Armenians.
Minister Nalbandian voiced hope that the only option is the establishment of dialogue between all sectors of the Syrian society and voiced hope that it will soon be possible to find a way out of the situation and establish peace in the country.
