Ambassador of Zambia presented credentials to Armenian President

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zambia Frederick Shumba Hapunda presented his credential to President Serzh Sargsyan, President’s Press Office reported.

The President congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his mission in our country and noted that Armenia is interested in cooperation and deepening relations with the African states, with the African continent and with the African Union which is strengthening its international standing and in which Armenia has observer status. The President of Armenia stated that in the framework of international organizations, Armenia and Zambia are cooperating efficiently and on the vital for Armenia issues Zambia has been displaying a balanced position.

Ambassador Frederick Shumba Hapunda thanked Serzh Sargsyan for the congratulations and conveyed the congratulatory message and good wishes from his country’s president on the reelection of Serzh Sargsyan as President of Armenia.

At the meeting, discussed were issues pertinent to the cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
