Armenia to choose the song for Eurovision 2013 tonight

Gor Sujyan has been internally selected to represent Armenia at Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Tonight, it will be decided which song he will sing on the Eurovision stage in Malmö. Out of four songs, all sung by Gor and his band Dorians, a 50/50 combination of televoting and an expert jury will select the winning composition. The titles of the songs in the competition are as follows:

  • Toy Planet
  • Lonely Planet
  • No Time
  • Lying

The composers of the four songs will not be disclosed until after the national final. However, it is known that foreign as well as local songwriters have entries in the running.

On stage, Gor Sujyan will be supported by his band Dorians. Together they have already participated in the Armenian national final for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, coming third.

The show will be hosted by Gohar Gasparyan and Avet Barseghyan. In the interval act, the 2013 Eurovision representatives of Malta, Gianluca Bezzina, and Georgia, Nodi Tatishvili and Sophie Gelovani, will perform their entries.

Moreover, the Armenian representatives in the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest are promising a surprise performance in the show.
