A magnitude 4.8 earthquake hit 24 km southwest of the city of Khoy, Iran at 16:37 local time (12:37 GMT), Armenia’s Seismic Protection Service reports.
The intensity of the tremor reached 6-7 at the epicenter.
The earthquake was felt in Kapan and Meghri cities in Armenia’s Syunik region.
