Armenian, Jewish archives to share information on genocide studies

An agreement on cooperation will be signed between the Armenian National Archive and the Paris-based Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah.

The document will be signed at the Embassy of France in Armenia on September 24.

The agreement will determine the scope of cooperation between the parties. It is expected to contribute to the exchange of information in the field of genocide studies, as well as documents of reciprocal interest, organization of joint exhibitions on the basis of archive documents.

The agreement will be signed for a five-year term, but can be extended for another five years.

The Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah is engaged in the study of Holocaust and other genocides. Ever since its establishment the Foundation has collected documents related not only to the fate of Jews during World War II, but also the Armenians’ participation in the French Resistance Movement.
