Richard Hoagland will complete his mission as interim Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group on Monday, August 28. He will be replaced by Andrew Schofer.
“The US Administration does not have a new approach to the issue. The US stance on the issue is unchanged despite the change of the Co-Chair,” Richard Hoagland told a press conference in Washington, Voice of America reports.
Mr. Hoagland hailed Andrew Schofer as highly experienced diplomat, who has been recently serving as Charge d’Affaires of the US Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna.
“He has experience in the settlement of the Cyprus and other conflicts. I think the Secretary of State and the State Department have chosen a brilliant Co-Chair,” Amb. Hoagland said.
“The new Co-Chairs now has complete information about the Karabakh conflict and is ready to assume his duties,” he said.
