Azerbaijan’s actions only aggravate the situation on Nagorno Karabakh, Press Secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Vladimir Zeynetdinov told Interfax.
“The issue should be solved through negotiations. In the given case Azerbaijan’s actions lead to escalation of the situation and the conflict,” he said.
Zeynetdinov noted that CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha and the leadership of the CSTO Secretariat keep in touch with the leadership of Armenia.
“We have received compete information from the Ministry of Defense about the armed clashes. We believe there is no military solution to the Karabakh conflict,” the CSTO Press Secretary said.
