Famed Armenian singer Charles Aznavour had a meeting with Armenians of Beijing on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the French Language Year held within the framework of the Francophonie.
Present at the event were also Grand Masters Levon Aronian and Elina Danielyan. Greeting the guests, Armenian Ambassador to China Armen Sargsyan told about the small Armenian community of Beijing.
During the meeting held in a warm atmosphere Charles Aznavour presented some episodes from his life. Attaching importance to the maintenance of the Armenian national identity, he urged the young people not to diverge from their roots.
“This gives strength to Armenians in different countries of the world to withstand any difficulty,” Charles Aznavour said.
