Armenian-Turkish relations, Karabakh settlement to be discussed in Brussels

The 10th sitting of the Armenia-EU Cooperation committee will take place in Brussels today.

The Committee is co-chaired by Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and Gunar Wiegand, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE at the European External Action Service.

During the sitting the parties will discuss the process of implementation of the Armenia-EU Action Plan under the European Neighborhood Policy, issues related to the Armenia-EU Association Agreement and the negotiations on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.

Reference will be made to issues of rue of law, human rights and fundamental freedoms, cooperation in the field of transport and energy, settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue, Armenia-Turkey relations, EU assistance programs, etc.
